About the Role:

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated Behaviour and Learning Support professional to provide essential assistance to students, particularly those with Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them navigate their learning journey and develop positive behaviour.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing individualised support to students, particularly those with Special Educational Needs (SEN), to enhance their learning and behaviour.
  • Implementing tailored strategies and interventions to promote positive behaviour and academic success.
  • Collaborating closely with classroom teachers to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
  • Monitoring and assessing student progress, providing feedback and support to facilitate growth and development.
  • Fostering a safe and supportive atmosphere that encourages students to express themselves and develop their social skills.
  • Assisting in the preparation of educational materials and resources for classroom activities.
  • Supervising students during breaks and transitions, ensuring their well-being and safety.

Requirements:

  • Experience working in a primary school setting, with a preference for candidates with Special Educational Needs (SEN) experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and colleagues.
  • A nurturing and patient approach, demonstrating a commitment to student development and well-being.
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • A solid understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
