Leader Recruitment Group is seeking a skilled Academic Support Assistant to join our team. As an Academic Support Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work with individuals with spinal injuries, helping them access the community and develop confidence and independence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Encourage social participation and develop confidence in individuals with spinal injuries
  • Assist with daily tasks such as DIY and cooking
  • Provide domestic assistance and maintain a clean living environment
  • Support with grocery shopping and errands
  • Help with personal care needs, including bathing and dressing
  • Assist with exercise regimes and physiotherapy sessions

Requirements:

  • Able to work in the UK with a valid right to work
  • Physically able to perform duties required by the role
  • At least 6 months of experience working in care in the UK
  • Desirable: knowledge of complex care needs
  • Willingness to work alternative weekends or 1 weekend out of 4
  • Enhanced DBS check required
