Lead Data Strategy and Drive Business Growth

We are seeking an experienced Chief Data Officer to lead and scale our data function at a fast-growing, innovative start-up in the financial services sector. This critical role will own the data strategy and drive the use of data as a key asset across the business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement the company's overall data strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Build, lead, and mentor a data team, including data engineers, analysts, and scientists.
  • Oversee data architecture, governance, and security to ensure data integrity and compliance with industry regulations.
  • Collaborate with leadership and key stakeholders to leverage data for decision-making and growth strategies.
  • Implement and scale data infrastructure, pipelines, and analytics capabilities to support product development and business needs.
  • Drive data-driven insights to enhance customer experience, improve operational efficiency, and support product innovation.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Head of Data or senior data role, with significant leadership experience, ideally in financial services or start-ups.
  • Strong knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance (e.g., GDPR, financial regulations).
  • Expertise in data architecture, data warehousing, and modern data engineering tools (Azure).
  • Hands-on experience scaling data functions in a high-growth, dynamic environment.
  • Strategic mindset with a focus on business outcomes, combined with a strong technical foundation.
