We are seeking a highly skilled Prostate Cancer Specialist Clinician to join our dynamic team at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will work as an autonomous practitioner, delivering specialist clinical care for patients diagnosed with prostate cancer. This includes participating in the named prostate cancer nurse of the day rota and triaging GP referrals for suspected prostate cancer pathway.

Main Responsibilities
  • To work with the prostate cancer CNS team in co-ordinating the diagnostic pathway for individuals referred with suspected prostate cancer, utilising clinical skills to achieve high quality care, in line with national and local guidelines.
  • To provide evidence-based care for a caseload of patients alongside the lead prostate cancer consultant.
  • To run nurse-led active surveillance/post prostate cancer treatment clinics, assessing individuals remotely or face-to-face using various methods.
  • To act as a key link between the multidisciplinary team and the patient, ensuring communication across professional boundaries.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Evidence of management skills within current banding.
  • Achieved entry to NMC register and studied at degree level or equivalent qualification.
  • Interest in field of prostate cancer.
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary, estimated to be around £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition, we provide a range of benefits including flexible working arrangements, opportunities for professional development and a supportive work environment.
