Role Overview


We are seeking an experienced Technical Specialist to join our team at Spen Valley High School, supporting the delivery of high-quality art and design education.


About the Role


This is a permanent position working 37 hours per week, term time plus 10 days. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning ahead and preparing materials and equipment for lessons in line with lesson plans.


The ideal candidate will have workshop or transferable experience, with excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks independently.


In addition to their technical expertise, the successful candidate will also support students in the classroom, develop their skills, maintain adequate stock levels and ensure routine maintenance and repairs of equipment and machinery are undertaken.


Key Requirements


To be successful in this role, applicants must possess strong literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE grade C/4 in Maths and English) and hold an up-to-date workshop accreditation. We are happy to facilitate the latter.

Salary Details


The salary for this role is estimated at £24,300 - £27,625 per annum, based on location and industry standards.
