About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Bank Team in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at North Bristol NHS Trust.

As a Bank Registered NICU Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to babies and their families, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional healthcare.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, ensuring the highest standards of care and safety.
  • Supervise and guide other staff members, including healthcare assistants and students, to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Participate in health promotion activities, providing education, support, and advice to patients and their families.

Requirements:

  • Current RN (Adult or Paediatric) registration with the NMC.
  • Relevant experience within the last 18-24 months, with a drive to work hard and commit to a 4-day induction programme.
  • Ability to commence work within 3 months from offer.

Person Specification:

  • RGN with current live NMC Registration - for more than 1 year.
  • Child Protection training Level 3 (Level 2 considered but must be prepared to do Level 3 when in post).
  • Teaching and assessing qualification (998 or equivalent).

Work Experience:

  • Candidate will have undertaken training for extended roles required by the ward/department.
  • Relevant experience within the last 18-24 months.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Advanced communication skills, verbal & written, to include report writing and record keeping.
  • Basic computer / IT skills and expectation to develop these in line with the needs of the service.
