About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Site Agent to join our UK Power Networks (UKPN) ED2 Alliance team based in Crawley. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the on-site delivery of civil construction works for a new substation being constructed by UKPN.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement Health and Safety procedures and project delivery to the correct specifications.
  • Monitor Health and Safety standards and ensure compliance with SHEMS, completing weekly inspections, raising observations, and investigating incidents.
  • Manage subcontractors and direct labour within a multi-trade environment, including procurement and oversight, and hold weekly progress meetings.
  • Ensure all statutory inspections are completed, undertake duties of TWC and lifting Appointed Person, and maintain the Construction Phase Plan.
  • Develop and maintain quality plans, implement ITPs, record sheets, NCRs, and defects, and contribute to monthly client reporting and progress meetings.
Requirements
  • A sound knowledge of NEC3 Contracts, including Early Warning Notices and Compensation Events.
  • Proven experience managing civil works contracts.
  • Relevant qualifications such as CSCS/EUSR, SMSTS, CITB Temporary Works, CSCS Appointed Person, and IOSH/NEBOSH certification.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, the ability to monitor and report against programme and financial requirements, and a willingness to challenge standards to improve quality or value.
