About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Engineer to join our team at Kier Group. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring that construction work is executed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with drawings, specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Site Management: Oversee the construction process, ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with project specifications and quality standards.
- Quality Control: Regularly inspect and assess the quality of construction work, identifying and addressing any issues or defects.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support to the on-site team, assisting with problem-solving and ensuring that technical queries are answered.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with the on-site team, stakeholders, and clients, ensuring that all parties are informed and up-to-date on project progress.
- Health and Safety: Ensure that all site personnel are aware of and comply with the Kier Safety, Health and Environmental Management System, promoting a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in construction projects, including knowledge of construction techniques and equipment.
- Education: Minimum HND in civil engineering or a related field.
- Skills: Strong technical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
