We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Community Mental Health Team in Barking & Dagenham. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals with mental health needs, promoting their recovery and independence.
About the Role:This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive team, providing community-based support for service users living in Barking & Dagenham. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to assess, plan, and deliver occupational therapy interventions, focusing on functional daily living skills and mental health recovery.
Main Responsibilities:- Deliver occupational therapy provision to a small, designated caseload, focusing on functional daily living skills and mental health recovery.
- Assess, plan, and deliver occupational therapy interventions, including functional ADL assessments and contribution to multidisciplinary team care planning and risk assessments.
- Work effectively with service users, families, and carers to promote recovery and independence.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery and effective communication.
- Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Experience working on inpatient mental health wards, forensic mental health, or community settings.
- Ability to work with individuals who present challenging behavior.
