Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Community Mental Health and Wellness Team - East in Barking & Dagenham. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing person-centered recovery-focused care to individuals with complex mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver occupational therapy provision to a small, designated caseload, focusing on functional daily living skills and mental health recovery.
- Assess, treat, and evaluate occupational therapy interventions, including functional ADL assessments and multidisciplinary team care planning.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized care plans, working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team.
- Provide education and support to service users, their families, and carers, promoting independence and empowerment.
- Degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification.
- Experience working in community mental health or a related field, with a focus on person-centered care.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours.
