Job Title: Occupational Therapist

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Community Mental Health team in Barking & Dagenham. As an Occupational Therapist, you will work with individuals who have a diagnosis of a serious mental illness, providing person-centered recovery-focused care within their home and local community.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Deliver Occupational Therapy provision to a small, designated caseload focusing on functional daily living skills and the empowerment of mental health recovery.
  • Assess, treat, and evaluate occupational therapy interventions, including functional ADL assessments and contribution to multidisciplinary team care planning and risk assessments.
  • Work effectively with individuals, families, and carers to promote recovery and independence.
Requirements:
  • Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Experience working on inpatient mental health wards, forensic mental health, or community settings.
  • Ability to work with individuals who present challenging behavior.
