Job Description: Learning Support Mentor | Waltham Forest

We are seeking a motivated Learning Support Mentor to join our team. As a Learning Support Mentor, you will work on a 1:1 basis with a learner in a pupil who has Autism and ADHD. Your role will involve assisting with the provision of support for an individual student with social, emotional and/or behaviour difficulties, helping them overcome barriers to learning.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in a school setting and further their knowledge of child development. You will work closely with teachers and SLT to develop and implement effective behaviour management strategies. Your role will involve building strong relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues to ensure the best possible outcomes for all involved.

To succeed in this Learning Support Mentor role, you must have previous experience working with children who have additional learning needs in a school setting. A degree educated background with a minimum of a 2:1 is also required. Strong communication skills and patience are essential, as well as being confident dealing with resistant behaviour.

The salary for this Learning Support Mentor role is up to £95 per day via PAYE (weekly pay).
