This exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and dedicated Behavioural Support Worker to join our team at a SEND school in Romford. As a key member of the support staff, you will play a vital role in providing tailored support to pupils with SEN, enabling them to access learning and achieve their full potential.

Your responsibilities will include:

">
  • Establishing trusting relationships with pupils and interacting with them according to individual needs and personalities;
  • Promoting good pupil behaviour, dealing promptly with conflict and incidents in line with established policies;
  • Creating and maintaining a purposeful, orderly and supportive environment, assisting with the display of pupils' work;

Required Skills and Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate who possesses:

">
  • A strong understanding of the requirements to support pupils with additional needs;
  • Experience supporting young people with SEN would be advantageous;
  • Training in PECS, Makaton, manual handling, and hoisting (desired but not essential);
  • Adaptability, motivation, and the ability to take initiative;
