Receptionist Role at St Ermin's Operating UK Limited

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Receptionist to join our team at St Ermin's Operating UK Limited. As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our guests and will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless experience for all visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide warm and welcoming service to all guests, ensuring a positive first impression of our hotel.
  • Manage the reception desk, handling all guest inquiries, requests, and issues in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Process guest arrivals and departures, including check-in and check-out procedures, and ensure accurate and timely completion of all necessary paperwork.
  • Handle cash and credit transactions, maintain accurate records, and adhere to cash handling and banking procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure seamless service and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge about the hotel, its services, and local attractions, and be able to provide recommendations and information to guests as needed.
  • Ensure the reception area is clean, tidy, and well-maintained at all times, adhering to health and safety standards and COVID-19 guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as required to support the smooth operation of the hotel.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with guests, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; hospitality or customer service experience an asset.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and credit transactions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Knowledge of hotel operations, including front desk procedures, guest services, and local attractions.
