About the Role

CK Group is seeking a highly experienced Technical Service Lead to join their team at a global chemical manufacturing company in Durham, UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage customer relationships and provide expert technical support
  • Drive the continuous improvement of clients PVC compounds to meet and exceed customer expectations
  • Lead a team of experienced professionals, providing guidance, support, and training
  • Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and challenges and develop solutions to enhance product performance and application outcomes
  • Act as the primary technical liaison and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Collaborate with the Quality team and support the resolution of quality issues
  • Provide customer insights informing new product development and existing product optimisation
Requirements
  • Degree qualified in Polymer Science, chemical engineering, Material Science or related field; advanced degree preferred
  • Highly experienced within a compounding industry (preferably PVC), with a strong focus on technical service and customer support
  • Proven track record of managing and developing technical teams
  • In-depth knowledge of compounding processes, formulations, and applications
  • Extensive experience working with a wide range of end-use applications for plastics compounds, such as construction, automotive, medical, and consumer goods
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards applicable to PVC compounding manufacturing (beneficial)
