Ophthalmic Nurse Specialist

Your RoleAs an Ophthalmic Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the pre-operative patient process, performing clinical assessments, and preparing patients for surgery. You will also care for post-operative patients, providing clear explanations of next steps and medication details. Additionally, you may support consultants in outpatient clinics and undertake diagnostic testing as required.
Requirements- A fully qualified Registered Nurse with current registration with the NMC
- Previous experience in hospital eye services or private eye clinics
- Knowledge of clinical practice and awareness of current developments in optometry
- Capability of working in a fast-paced, high-volume clinical setting
- Ability to train and coach others
We offer a competitive salary of £34,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience. Our benefits package includes 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, a company pension scheme, and access to various employee discounts.
