Enterprise Leader for Cities and Places

We're seeking a talented leader to join our European Consultancy business as we embark on an ambitious growth journey. As Head of Cities & Places, you will be responsible for leading a £120m t/o business, inspiring and enhancing a group of exceptional professionals responsible for shaping European Cities, driving success across Corporate Real Estate, Hospitality, Entertainment, Sports & Leisure, and Local & Central Government.
About the Role- Leadership: Direct and oversee the operational business activities within the consultancy business, delivering P&L performance with year-on-year improvement in line with the plan.
- Strategic Planning: Implement operational programmes that are aligned to the strategic objectives of the business, ensuring compliance with Mace Group reporting cycles.
- Business Performance: Deliver annual financial and operating targets for the consult business unit, including KPIs, OKDs, and business outcomes, leading effective cost management.
- Clients and Stakeholders: Oversee and promote effective relationships externally with all clients, suppliers, partners, and internally across the business.
- Risk Management: Accountable for identifying, managing, and mitigating business risks across the market and portfolio, highlighting high levels of risk to Regional Hub Lead.
- Innovation: Champions innovation and provides thought leadership in strategy, business planning, and service delivery, advocating new ideas, ways of working, and efficiencies.
- Collaboration: Collaborate and partner with others across the business, identifying and promoting cross-selling opportunities within the wider Mace business.
- Transformational Leadership: Proven track record of achievement at C-Suite level or senior leadership role, with experience of working with clients in the relevant sector/portfolio.
- Commercial Awareness: Highly advanced level of commercial awareness, consulting, and strategic acumen.
- Industry Expertise: Comprehensive expertise and knowledge of construction consultancy and the construction industry.
- Change Management: Skilled in change management, 'change agent' executive, with ability to lead transformation agendas for operational business areas.
- Education: Degree/postgraduate (or equivalent) qualification.
- A competitive salary range of $160,000 - $200,000, depending on experience.
