Everest People Solutions is seeking a skilled Hygiene Manager to oversee the effective cleaning of a large food processing factory in Wolverhampton. As the Hygiene Manager, you will ensure compliance with hygiene standards, maintain up-to-date work instructions, and train cleaning staff to achieve quality and safety targets.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee section operations to meet KPIs, business objectives, and customer specifications.
- Maintain compliance with Food Standards legislation and ensure COSHH and Health & Safety guidelines are followed.
- Manage daily equipment strip downs, deep cleans, and reassembly, collaborating with suppliers to meet chemical and service requirements.
- Supervise and audit cleaning quality, addressing non-conformance promptly to protect product integrity.
- Control resources, including labour and chemical usage, and develop and coach staff to enhance performance.
- Proven experience in a Hygiene Manager or similar role within a food manufacturing or processing environment.
- Strong understanding of Food Safety Standards, including BRC, HACCP, and COSHH.
- Knowledge of cleaning processes, chemicals, and equipment used in a food production setting.
- Strong decision-making skills with a focus on maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.
- Proficient in using IT systems, including Microsoft Office, for managing schedules, records, and reports.
