About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist to join our dynamic EWMHS team in Redbridge on a permanent contract.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering high-quality interventions for children and adolescents with emotional and mental health problems, and a commitment to supporting their carers/parents and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to multi-disciplinary assessment and treatment of children and adolescents with emotional and mental health problems, their carers/parents and families.
  • Undertake a range of highly specialist clinical work, urgent assessment work, parenting support and specialist cases.
  • Provide extensive expert supervision and consultation on CYPMHS cases to other multi-disciplinary staff within CYPMHS, including junior medical staff.
  • Actively engage in treatment and outcome monitoring, including the use of normed measures associated with CYP-IAPT.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. The post also attracts a High-Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary, which equates to a minimum payment of £9,048 per annum and a maximum payment of £12,048 per annum.

Requirements

To be eligible for this role, you must have:

  • A postgraduate qualification in psychological practice (e.g., art psychotherapy, psychology, family therapy, child and adolescent psychotherapy).
  • Registration as a full member of the appropriate professional body (HCPC, BACP, UKCP, AFT, ACP).
  • Extensive experience of working with children and adolescents with emotional and mental health problems, and their carers/parents and families.
  • Knowledge of legislation in relation to children and adolescents and safeguarding procedures and policies.
