Job Title: Team Leader – Manufacturing & Production

Job Summary:

The Team Leader is responsible for assisting the Section Manager in the day-to-day running of the production areas and all personnel within their area of control. This includes taking responsibility and covering the Section Manager's duties when they are off-site or unavailable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Section Manager in the day-to-day running of the production areas
  • Take responsibility for the Section Manager's duties when they are off-site or unavailable
  • Responsible for all aspects of Safety within their Section(s) of responsibility
  • Manage output and quality control
  • Supervise all employees of the Section and perform first-line performance management
  • Organize the manufacturing sections to improve control and productivity
  • Manage material flow through the factory and ensure timely delivery to customers
  • Set performance expectations and manage team performance to drive improvements
  • Run daily production meetings and drive safety culture and performance
  • Escalate issues to the Section Manager and Engineering department to ensure equipment is in safe working order
  • Determine causes of nonconformity and work with the Procurement/Engineering team to resolve issues
  • Conduct quality inspections and feed back issues to suppliers
  • Coordinate production activities with procurement, maintenance, and quality control to optimize production and utilization of resources

Requirements:

  • GCSE's C or above in English, Maths, & Science
  • 5 years of related experience and/or training
