We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Fire Engineer to join our team at Design Fire Consultants Ltd. As a Senior Fire Engineer, you will play a central role in managing technical and commercial aspects of projects. This includes leading projects, preparing comprehensive engineering reports, conducting calculations and analysis, attending external meetings with clients and Approving Authorities, reviewing contract agreements, and overseeing invoicing and debt collection.

A successful Senior Fire Engineer will contribute to developing client relationships through successful project delivery. They will continue to build on developing communication, negotiation, and influencing skills at all levels. Dealing with high-risk issues confidently yet consulting and seeking support from the senior team when needed. A Senior Fire Engineer should be an open source of guidance and support to both engineers and graduate engineers when they are delegated technical tasks that fall within a project scope.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant STEM field or equivalent qualification.
  • Demonstrate technical conversation skills in English with precision and clarity.
  • Possess experience in engineering consulting roles, preferably in a fire engineering environment.
  • Good knowledge of the UK construction industry, including RIBA stages and a fire engineer's role.
  • Commitment to continuing professional development (CPD) and progressing through the CEng process.
  • Ability to manage multiple large projects simultaneously and oversee all aspects of the project management process.

  • Estimated Salary: £70,000 - £90,000 per annum, based on qualifications, experience, and location.
  • London Weighting: A 12% weighting is applied to London team salaries up to a maximum of £50,000.
