Job Title: Clinical Nurse Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care to patients with breast cancer.

About the Role

The Clinical Nurse Specialist will be responsible for providing expert clinical care to patients with breast cancer, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment. They will work closely with consultants, radiographers, oncologists, and pathology staff to ensure seamless care delivery.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in breast cancer nursing and will be able to demonstrate a high level of clinical expertise. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert clinical care to patients with breast cancer, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
  • Work closely with consultants, radiographers, oncologists, and pathology staff to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients with breast cancer.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and treatment plans.
Requirements
  • Registered General Nurse with a strong background in breast cancer nursing.
  • Post-basic qualification in breast cancer or relevant subject.
  • Strong evidence of continual professional development.
  • Completed formal advanced communication skills training.
  • Recognized teaching qualification.
  • Principles and Practice of Breast Care Nursing.
  • Relevant post-registration experience at band 5 or above in breast or closely related subject.
