As a key member of our nursing staff, you will be responsible for overseeing the management of the ward and ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of care.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in nursing, with experience in a supervisory capacity within a relevant care setting. They will be responsible for leading a team of nurses and ensuring that they are equipped to provide the best possible care to patients.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing the nursing staff rota and ensuring that rota management and e-rostering standards are maintained
- Acting as a role model, mentor and leader, creating a culture that promotes learning, development, inquiry and professionalism
- Taking appropriate action to ensure that the standard of care that patients receive is of the highest standard
- Leading on the recruitment and retention of staff to the ward and hospital
- Undertaking and completing clinical investigations, complaints, and HR investigations
- Ensuring that legislative frameworks regarding the Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberties are applied in accordance with Company Policy and National Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and will be able to demonstrate their skills and experience in a supervisory capacity. They will also be willing to complete further clinical, managerial and leadership training and development relevant to their area of practice.
In return for your hard work and commitment, you will receive a competitive salary of £40,000 - £44,000 per annum DOE, plus a range of benefits including 25 days annual leave, opportunities to develop and progress in a wide variety of care settings, and a contributory pension scheme.
