Job Description

Our Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our therapy service. The successful candidate will work as part of our established team to provide holistic care to children and young people with complex needs.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Specialist Occupational Therapy services delivery to children and young people with complex needs, including neurodisability, developmental delay, musculoskeletal, and neuromuscular conditions and developmental coordination disorder.
  • Collaboration with health, education staff, children/young people, and their parents to design and deliver integrated care packages.
  • Training and support for students, professionals, and staff from other agencies working with children with functional difficulties.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Recognised Occupational Therapy degree-level qualification or equivalent.
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council.
Experience and Skills
  • Experience working with individuals with various disorders and/or delays.
  • Experience working with children.
  • Experience engaging with clinical supervision.
  • Experience working in changing environments.
  • Integrated working experience in multi-professional teams.
  • Training and presentation experience.
Clearance and Remuneration

This role requires a Disclosure and Barring Service Check under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975.

Salary: £37,338 - £44,962 per year based on full-time hours.
