We are seeking an exceptional Geography Teacher to join our team at Wayman Learning Trust in Barking. This is an exciting opportunity to teach KS4 and KS5 students and contribute to the overall school environment, creating a vibrant and inclusive learning community.
Main Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver engaging Geography lessons that cater to diverse student needs, incorporating multimedia resources and interactive activities.
- Develop students' scientific knowledge, practical skills, and problem-solving abilities through experiential learning and hands-on projects.
- Create a stimulating, inquiry-based learning environment that fosters curiosity and exploration, encouraging students to think critically and creatively.
- Prepare students for examinations and assessments, providing individualized support and guidance to help them achieve academic success and reach their full potential.
- Contribute to the broader life of the school through collaborative efforts, working closely with colleagues to drive excellence and improve outcomes, while promoting a positive and inclusive school culture.
About the Ideal Candidate:
- Possesses Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and strong subject knowledge of Geography, staying up-to-date with curriculum requirements and best practices.
- Is passionate about inspiring young minds and has excellent classroom management and communication skills, building strong relationships with students and peers, while promoting a safe and respectful learning environment.
