Head of Language and Literacy

We are seeking a Head of English to lead our English department and shape the future of English education at our school. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of success as a Head of English or a senior leader in English, with a strong background in curriculum design and delivery.
The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership skills, inspiring and motivating teachers to achieve excellence in teaching and learning. They will also be a passionate advocate for English literature, with a deep understanding of the curriculum and a commitment to inclusion.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the English department and developing a curriculum that ignites a passion for reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
- Fostering a collaborative and supportive learning environment that celebrates diversity.
- Developing and implementing strategies to improve student outcomes and achievement.
- Maintaining effective relationships with colleagues, students, and parents.
The salary for this position is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
