This is a challenging role for an experienced Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist seeking professional and personal growth within the field of Palliative Care.

About the Job

As a Specialist Physiotherapist/Occupational Therapist, you will manage your own workload of patients with complex needs, working in various settings including homes, outpatient clinics, and wards. You will be part of a dedicated team that includes healthcare professionals from different disciplines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with breathlessness and associated anxiety and fatigue.
  • Liaise with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and develop effective interventions.
  • Educate colleagues and healthcare professionals on the AHP role in BIS through training and workshops.
  • Contribute to research and audit projects to improve patient outcomes and advance practice.
Requirements
  • Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy/Physiotherapy and relevant postgraduate qualifications.
  • State registration and membership of professional organizations (College of Occupational Therapists/Chartered Society of Physiotherapy).
  • Experience in Palliative Care, Oncology, Respiratory, Elderly Care, Neurology, and Community/Home Visits.
