The Role:
- Work closely with teachers and support staff to provide tailored support for children across year groups, addressing various special educational needs.
- Develop effective interventions to enhance the academic, emotional, and social development of pupils.
- Demonstrate expertise in understanding the diverse needs of primary-aged children, including autism, ADHD, sensory impairments, and other additional needs.
What We're Looking For:
- A qualified teacher with experience working with primary-aged children who require special support.
- A deep understanding of and passion for supporting a wide range of special educational needs.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
- A proactive and reflective approach to teaching, with a commitment to continuous improvement.
- A desire to pursue a career as a Special Educational Needs Co-Ordinator (SENCO) and make a meaningful impact in the lives of children with additional needs.
- Flexibility, creativity, and resilience to adapt to the varying needs of pupils.
Benefits:
- A competitive salary: £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, based on experience and qualifications.
- Mentorship from senior leadership team members and the SENCO to aid in growth into the SENCO role.
