Job Opportunity

Leonardo SpA is recruiting for a Digital Systems Engineer Lead to join our team.

This is a unique opportunity for a talented engineer to take on a leadership role and contribute to the development of cutting-edge electronic systems.

The ideal candidate will have experience in designing high-speed digital Printed Circuit Boards that utilise the latest FPGA, Microprocessor and high-speed interconnect technologies.

They will also have experience integrating in-house designs with COTS modules (power supplies, single-board computers, RF interfaces), debugging, testing and verifying new designs.

A Domain experience in low noise analogue electronics and or power supplies is highly desirable.

About the Role:

  • Supporting throughout the full hardware lifecycle from requirements analysis; through design, and unit test; keeping them under configuration management, and providing plans and progress reports.
  • Designing high-speed digital Printed Circuit Boards that utilise the latest FPGA, Microprocessor and high-speed interconnect technologies.
  • Supporting the integration of hardware, firmware and software within your project.

About You:

  • You will have either a HNC/HND or Undergraduate Degree (Electronic Engineering, Physics, or Systems based) or you may just have lots of skills and experience gained through your hard work.
  • Mixed signal knowledge using ADC/DAC, FPGA, SoC-based design for high-performance signal processing, communications and control.
  • Integrating in-house designs with COTS modules (power supplies, single-board computers, RF interfaces).
  • Practical experience of debugging, testing and verifying new designs.

What We Offer:

  • Salary: £55,000 - £75,000 per annum.
