Job Summary

This role is an exciting opportunity to join the Estates and Facilities Department at Sussex Police as a Service Desk Coordinator. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive service, recording and responding to customer queries via multiple routes, and ensuring all incidents, challenges, and service requests are managed through the Service Desk.

Key Responsibilities

Some of the key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Providing exceptional customer service to internal and external customers, responding to queries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Managing and maintaining accurate records of customer interactions, including incident reports, service requests, and customer feedback.
  • Working closely with the Security Team to ensure only authorized personnel are permitted on site, checking IDs and vetting levels as required.
  • Issuing identification passes to visitors, contractors, and suppliers, directing them to parking facilities and classrooms.
  • Maintaining and updating relevant systems, including the computerized access control and card production system.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Experience of office administration, customer service, or a similar role, with a strong understanding of finance and procurement policies and procedures.
  • IT literacy, with experience of using Internet, Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to work accurately and methodically with minimal supervision, with a strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of office safety and a commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy working environment.
