**Job Summary**

Vontier is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Part-Qualified Accountant to join our European Centre of Excellence, SSC (Shared Service Centre) finance team. The ideal candidate will be a dedicated and ambitious individual who is actively pursuing a professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA, ICAEW) and is eager to contribute their skills and knowledge to our organization.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Ownership of the month-end and year-end closing procedures, including all journal entries, reconciliations, reviews and associated internal control deliverables such as Local Stat. to GAAP reconciliations and Quarterly Schedules.
  • Maintain the general ledger and ensure that all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, internal policies and procedures, and any other local statutory requirements.
  • End-to-end ownership of year-end audit, including relationship with external auditors, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Preparation of local statutory financial statements.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and simplification and assist in implementing efficiency enhancements within the finance department.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with other departments to gather financial information and provide insights to support decision-making.
  • Responsibility for preparation, review, and submission of VAT returns, in addition to addressing any VAT queries.

**Requirements**

  • Finalist or advanced part-qualified in a recognized accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, or CIMA).
  • Strong, in-depth knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and standards.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and documentation.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build strong client relationships.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to changing financial regulations and industry trends.
