About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned finance professional to join our team as a Financial Controller at Deerfoot IT Resources Limited. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial health and strategic success of our company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the finance team, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Oversee the month-end close process and prepare management accounts.

  • Liaise with auditors and external advisors for annual reports, accounts, and tax computations.
  • Manage staff payroll and oversee cost management for business safeguarding.
  • Oversee cash flow management and reporting.
  • Support the transition to a unified general ledger/ERP system.
  • Uphold financial policies and ensure process adherence.

Requirements:

  • Background in financial services (banking, investment management, insurance).
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP.
  • Extensive experience with Sage, including analysis codes, integrations, and automation.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills (SQL, Python, or VBA is a plus).
  • Experience in general ledger migration, including project management, mapping, and implementation.
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
