Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Health, Safety and Environment Lead to join our client, a renowned food manufacturing business in Wincanton, Somerset. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for leading and managing the HSE function, developing and implementing HSE strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in health and safety, preferably with NEBOSH certification, and experience in the food industry or LEAN manufacturing. You will also have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to influence decision-makers and teach/coach others. In return, we offer a competitive salary of £40,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits such as 29 days annual leave, pension scheme, and access to MediCash.

About the Role: As the HSE Lead, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the wellbeing of employees and promoting sustainability in the company's operations. Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing site HSE plans, leading people development initiatives, providing advice and guidance to the business, and managing HSE records and risk assessments.

Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • NEBOSH certification
