Occupational Health and Wellbeing Lead

Our client, a leading food manufacturing business, is seeking a dedicated Health, Safety and Environment Manager to join their team in Wincanton, Somerset. As the Health, Safety and Environment Lead, you will be responsible for leading and managing the HSE function within the company, developing and implementing HSE strategies, policies, and procedures that ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing site-specific HSE plans, focusing on cultural awareness and industry standards.
- Leading people development initiatives, working closely with regional contacts to ensure employees meet industry standards.
- Providing guidance and advice to the business at all levels, taking ownership of critical plans, policies, and procedures.
- Managing HSE records, ensuring accurate documentation and record-keeping.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of delivering results in a similar role.
