Health and Safety Lead
At Griffith Foods, we are seeking a dedicated professional to lead our health and safety initiatives. This is a unique opportunity to join a family-owned business that values people above all else.

We offer a competitive salary of £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience.

As a Health and Safety Lead, you will play a crucial role in pushing our safety culture and elevating the improvement of our practices. You will be part of the Site Leadership Team, providing vision and strategy for the HSE function, ensuring the site complies with best practice and legislation. Your goal will be to foster a continuous improvement culture, enabling our people leaders to have a safety-focused outlook, equipped with the tools, frameworks, and training to be safe at work.

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Developing and implementing the site HSE plan with a focus on culture.
  • Utilizing regional contacts, leading on people development with a clear focus on industry standards.
  • Providing advice and guidance to the business at all levels.
  • Being accountable for developing, implementing, and maintaining critical plans, policies, and procedures.
  • Upkeep of HSE records.
  • Completing detailed risk assessments and maintaining the risk assessment library accordingly.
  • Supporting the HR Department with information in relation to occupational health referrals.
  • Managing the incident, accident, and near miss reporting system and following up actions in a timely manner either directly or through delegation.
