Senior Biomedical Scientist in Histology

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Biomedical Scientist to join our team at Nuffield Health Tunbridge Wells Hospital. As a Senior Biomedical Scientist, you will play a key role in maintaining the highest standards of care and providing exceptional service in our modern pathology laboratory.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert knowledge of Histology to support the training and development of other staff members.
- Oversee routine histology practices, including dissection, microtomy, embedding, manual coverslipping, troubleshooting, and validation of reagents.
- Support the organisation in validating and assessing new histology equipment.
- Assist in the maintenance and improvement of quality management systems required for UKAS accreditation.
- Relevant laboratory experience in histology with multi-disciplinary biomedical science.
- Extensive histology experience, with knowledge to accompany this at specialist diploma level.
- Good understanding of laboratory processes and day-to-day running of a laboratory.
- The ability to maintain good customer relationships and provide high levels of service in a modern pathology laboratory.
