## Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Biomedical Scientist to join our team at Nuffield Health Tunbridge Wells Hospital. As a Senior Biomedical Scientist in Histology, you will be responsible for leading the histology laboratory and ensuring the highest standards of care and quality in our pathology services.
## Key Responsibilities
* Lead the histology laboratory and oversee the day-to-day running of the department
* Develop and implement quality management systems to ensure UKAS accreditation
* Support the training and development of other staff members in histology
* Carry out and oversee routine histology practices, including dissection, microtomy, embedding, and troubleshooting
* Participate in NEQAS and validate new histology equipment
## Requirements
* Relevant laboratory experience in histology with multi-disciplinary biomedical science
* Extensive histology experience, with knowledge to accompany this at specialist diploma level
* Good understanding of laboratory processes and day-to-day running of a laboratory
* Ability to maintain good customer relationships and provide high levels of service in a modern pathology laboratory
