Job Title: Children\u0027s Residential Support Worker

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children\u0027s Residential Support Worker to join our team at Vetro Recruitment. As a Children\u0027s Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to young people aged 14-17 with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and challenging behaviours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide emotional support and guidance to young people, promoting their independence and well-being.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with staff, parents, Social Workers, and other professionals involved in the young people\u0027s lives.
  • Support young people in their daily activities, including education, leisure, and personal care.
  • Manage challenging behaviours in a safe and sympathetic manner.
  • Contribute to the creation and implementation of individual care plans, ensuring the needs of each young person are met.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children and young people, preferably in a residential care setting.
  • Ability to engage, encourage, and mentor young people, promoting their social, emotional, and behavioural development.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, parents, and other professionals.
  • Empathy and understanding of the needs of young people with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and challenging behaviours.
  • Valid driving licence and access to a car, as regular travel to placements may be required.
