Children's Nursery Deputy Manager

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Nursery Manager to join our team at Sunny Days Nurseries and Pre-Schools. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early years education and childcare, along with strong leadership skills to manage a team effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children
- Develop and implement educational programs and activities that meet the needs of our children
- Supervise and support nursery staff, providing guidance and mentorship to help them grow professionally
- Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and children, building strong relationships and trust
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and health & safety guidelines, maintaining a high level of quality in our services
Requirements
- Proven experience working in a nursery setting, with a strong understanding of early childhood education principles
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team
- Ability to drive the nursery's vision and goals, working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve excellence
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and health & safety guidelines, with the ability to ensure compliance

Working Hours
- Full-time, permanent position
- Monday to Friday, with occasional evening or weekend work required
Education and Experience
- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
- Nursery experience: 1 year (preferred)
- Childcare experience: 1 year (preferred)
- Management experience: 1 year (preferred)
Work Location
- In person, at one of our Sunny Days Nurseries and Pre-Schools locations
