Job Description

Knots Rugs seeks an ambitious and results-driven UK Trade Sales Manager to lead our growth in the luxury interiors market. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of sales within the high-end sector and have a deep understanding of the luxury market and its trends.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to achieve and exceed targets. This will involve building relationships with interior designers, architects, and other industry professionals, as well as identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop existing accounts to achieve sales targets
  • Identify and convert new account opportunities to achieve and exceed sales goals
  • Seek out and build new relationships within the UK Interior Design community
  • Develop extensive product knowledge to advise clients on all aspects of rug qualities, materials, options, and possibilities
  • Coordinate with the design team to present custom options for bespoke projects
  • Communicate with the sample library manager to keep on top of all incoming and outgoing samples
  • Provide excellent customer support and follow up where needed after project completion
  • Manage Sales Pipeline and reports
  • Assist in the showroom and be willing and able to handle rugs

Requirements:

  • Proven sales record within the luxury sector
  • Knowledge and experience of the high-end market and luxury products
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office and CRM programs
  • Fluency in Adobe and CAD, with design skills, an advantage but not mandatory
  • Experience and awareness of the luxury Interiors/Rugs industry
  • Knowledge of building brands
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • Strong administrative skills with a high attention to detail
  • Energy, drive, and passion to succeed
  • A positive can-do attitude and a team player
  • Ability to work with deadlines, towards sales targets, and prioritise work
  • Social media awareness, in order to develop connections with Interior Designers and Commercial Opportunities

Terms:

  • Full-time position (but would consider part-time depending on candidate and experience)
  • Salary: £45k plus bonus/commission structure
  • Place of work: Kings Road showroom and out-bound visits
