About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Neonatal Staff Nurse to join our team at Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Neonatal Staff Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to preterm and sick infants in our Local Neonatal Unit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a team of nurses caring for preterm and sick infants in our Local Neonatal Unit.
  • Provide excellent clinical, compassionate care to infants in all areas of the unit, including intensive care, high dependency, and special care.
  • Support families in caring for their infants, including breastfeeding support and follow-up care.
  • Participate in service development and implementation of change to improve patient care and outcomes.

Requirements

  • 6 months experience working with infants in a neonatal unit.
  • Newly qualified with interest in neonatal career.
  • Ability to communicate in a variety of settings with patients of varying levels of understanding.
  • Basic IT skills in word processing and spreadsheets.
  • Awareness of standards of care and auditing.
