We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Paediatrician to join our team at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will have a special interest in diabetes care and will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical care to patients with diabetes and other paediatric conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership and expertise in the management of diabetes and other paediatric conditions
- Develop and implement clinical guidelines and protocols for the management of diabetes and other paediatric conditions
- Contribute to the development and implementation of education and training programs for healthcare professionals
- Participate in research and quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes and healthcare services
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients with diabetes and other paediatric conditions
- MBChB or equivalent qualification
- Postgraduate qualification in Paediatrics or equivalent
- Completion of higher specialist training in Paediatrics or equivalent
- Level 3 Training Special Interest Module (SPIN) in Paediatric Diabetics or equivalent
- Experience of teaching medical students and junior medical staff
- Experience of audit and research
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work harmoniously in a multidisciplinary team
