We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Counsellor to join our team at PARKER SMITH INCLUSION. As a Counsellor, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs, providing individualised therapeutic support and contributing to the school's inclusive environment.

Estimated Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum (actual)

About the Role

The successful candidate will work closely with Speech and Language Therapists, other professionals, and teaching staff to deliver tailored therapy services to students with mild to moderate autism spectrum disorders, Asperger's Syndrome, and associated learning challenges.

  • Manage and coordinate caseloads, implementing personalised EHCP/treatment plans.
  • Plan and deliver interventions for individual or group therapy sessions.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and contribute to annual review processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Current membership with BACP, UKCP, or equivalent accrediting body.
  • Experience with CBT is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively engage students, staff, carers, and stakeholders.
