We are recruiting a Learning Disability Support Worker to provide care and support to learning disabled adults in our supported living services and their own homes.
As a Learning Disability Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing daily care and support to enable our service users to achieve their goals and maintain important relationships with their family and friends.
About the Role:
- Salary: £11.44 per hour, rising to £11.74 per hour on 1st October 2024.
- Working Hours: A variety of day shifts, starting from 7:30/8am. 7.5 hour shifts minimum. Full time and part time roles available.
- Holidays: 33 days of annual leave (including eight days statutory bank holidays).
- Benefits: 10% overtime allowance, 20% Bank Holiday allowance, 50% for key dates over Christmas.
About You:
You will be responsible for providing daily care and support to learning disabled adults, enabling them to achieve their goals and maintain important relationships with their family and friends.
Your duties may include:
- Providing everyday personal care, such as taking medication, cooking a meal.
- Building someone's confidence in using public transport or teaching money management skills.
- Supporting someone to plan their weekly shop or go on an outdoor adventure.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with vulnerable adults.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
