About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Care Specialist to join our team at Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert knowledge and skills to more junior members of the team, with a willingness to professionally develop their role within the ever-changing scope of emergency care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deputise for Countywide MIU Lead in times of absence, ensuring a consistent workforce within all Units, providing equitable care to all patients.
  • Provide a holistic, autonomous, clinical nursing service by attending to all referrals/self-referrals to the Minor Injury Unit.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a high level of clinical knowledge and skill gained from working within a Minor Injury/Urgent Care or A&E unit or an appropriate setting where these skills may be obtained. They will also possess good knowledge of Safeguarding, ability to challenge poor behaviour, and high level of clinical skills and knowledge. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office packages/IT skills is essential.
