Support Worker

Academics is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join our team at our Epsom-based primary school. The successful candidate will provide assistance and support to children with severe and complex learning, social, and communication difficulties.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and young people who require additional care and support. They will be responsible for providing physical and emotional support to children, assisting with their daily needs, and helping to build their confidence and motivation.
The school provides a safe and supportive learning environment, with excellent facilities and on-site equipment. The team works closely with therapists to ensure the physical and emotional support of the children.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, parents, and colleagues. They will be committed to providing high-quality support and care to our students.
Key responsibilities:
- Providing assistance and support to children with severe and complex learning, social, and communication difficulties
- Assisting with daily needs, including personal care and medical tasks
- Helping to build confidence and motivation in children
- Working closely with therapists and other professionals to ensure the physical and emotional support of children
- Participating in team meetings and training programs to develop skills and knowledge
