We are recruiting freelance interpreters to work with various public and private organisations in the UK. Language Empire provides professional interpreting and translation services to the public and private sectors across the UK.

The ideal candidate will be fluent in English and have a strong command of another language. They will be responsible for interpreting in various settings, including the NHS, Local Authorities, Police, Probation, and other public and private organisations.

The role involves listening to, understanding, and reproducing speech in the target language with 100% accuracy. The interpreter will also be responsible for checking the non-English speakers' understanding after each sentence.

We offer flexible working arrangements to fit around your schedule, ongoing help and support from our dedicated in-house team, and continuous professional development and support.

Requirements include:

  • Fluent in English and another language
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Aged 21 or over
  • Formal qualifications such as Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI), Community Interpreting, or degree in Translation/Interpreting/Languages
