Austin Fraser is a leading recruitment agency seeking a highly skilled Purchase Ledger Administration Assistant to join their team in Woking.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and experience working with financial systems such as Sage or Excel. They will also be able to provide administrative support to the accounting team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Post all supplier invoices and staff expense claims to the ledgers, ensuring they are matched to purchase orders and receipts.
  2. Produce 2 weekly payment runs ensuring all payments are made within the due dates and for the correct amounts (a payment run for suppliers and a payment run for settlements).
  3. Complete supplier statement reconciliations and action any queries.
  4. Create new supplier accounts ensuring all relevant information is verified and entered correctly onto the system.
  5. Answer telephone calls from suppliers.
  6. Post payments for manual payments timeously (payments made outside of the usual BACS process) and allocate them to the invoices.
  7. Provide cover for colleagues' holidays and sick leave.
  8. Fill in credit application forms before handing to the AP manager for signing.

Salary: £22,000 - £28,000 per annum
