Salary: £31,580 per annum, reflecting the market rate for an experienced Room Leader in Cambridge.

Job Description:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Lead Early Years Educator for our new nursery setting in Cambridge. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for leading, mentoring, and inspiring a team to deliver exceptional care and education to children aged 0-5 years.

Your primary focus will be on ensuring the learning environment provides consistent stimulation and engaging activities for the children, across both indoor and outdoor areas. You will also be responsible for planning and delivering rich learning opportunities, promoting child welfare, protection, health, and safety, and working collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a positive, happy, and safe environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Fully qualified Level 3 or above Early Years educator
  • Previous experience working within an Early Years setting, ideally as a Room Leader or similar role
  • Sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and wider legislative requirements for working with children
