Key Responsibilities
  • Support the effective development, roll out and implementation of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) policies and procedures as communicated by the Group HSEQ Manager / CEO.
  • Lead the implementation of initiatives and programs aimed to encourage ABL's commitment to HSEQ.
  • Evaluate / monitor subcontractors and suppliers that are used by OWC/ LGG, briefed of requirements and review / monitor their performance as required.
  • Report HSEQ adherence and performance monitoring, KPI reporting, risk assessments, legal compliance, co-ordinate safety committee meetings, management reviews.
  • Assist with the preparation of QHSE system internal and external audits, plan and undertake customer feedback surveys.
  • Report all client compliments, complaints, accidents, incidents and near-misses to the Group HSEQ Manager / Country Manager and relevant line management. Assist with investigations, implementation, follow up and close out of corrective measures. Investigate incidents and complaints.
  • Assist Bid Leaders and Project Managers with the preparation and implementation of Contract Reviews, HSEQ Plans, Risk assessments, etc.
  • Monitor implementation of group / regional objectives and timely reporting of HSEQ KPI's to the CEO & Group HSEQ Manager.
  • Ensure safety inspections of the regional offices are completed and all OHS requirements applicable for OWC/ Longitude locations as per WSH Manual have been established and implemented.
  • Assist emergency response arrangements for the regional offices - fire drills organised, desktop emergency response reviews held, first aid, etc. implemented. Nominate house safety officer / fire warden / nominate trained first-aider for the regional offices.
  • Internal auditor training (ISO 9001, 45001, etc.).
